Ukraine Peak-Season Stocking: Up to 3 Months of Free Storage

Sellers targeting the Ukraine market have probably been wrestling with the same question this month: for the peak season — to stock or not to stock, and how much.

Stock too little, and you risk missing out when orders explode. Stock too much, and it sits in the warehouse burning money every day. Ship ad hoc from China, and peak-season congestion may mean you don’t make it in time.

But before deciding how much to stock, there’s a more important question to answer first: just how big will demand be this winter?

1 Ukraine’s online consumption keeps growing

Public data shows that in 2025, Ukraine’s online consumption reached about UAH 256 billion (approx. USD 5.8 billion), up another 7–10% year on year. The country has around 11.2 million online shoppers, each placing an average of 17.5 orders per year.

Even more telling is penetration: e-commerce currently accounts for only about 10% of retail in Ukraine, versus 22% in Poland and roughly 30% in the US. The growth story is far from over.

There’s an extra upside for Chinese sellers: China is one of the leading source countries for Ukraine’s cross-border online shopping, with an average cross-border order value of about UAH 2,100–2,600 — nearly double that of domestic online purchases.

2 Winter is when demand peaks — and when logistics is most likely to choke

Winters in Ukraine are long and cold, making warm clothing and heating products true essentials. Industry data shows searches for thermal apparel rise by about 300% from October through February.

Christmas on December 25 runs straight into the New Year — the most concentrated online-spending window of the year. Demand for portable power stations, generators, charging products and small heating appliances has been climbing steadily over the past two years, with a healthy repeat-purchase rate.

Demand is clear; the bottleneck is supply. Poor winter weather and long transit times make ad-hoc shipping from China a real drag. The sellers who capture this wave of orders will be those with stock locally, ready to ship the moment an order comes in.

3 Stock locally — but choose the right place

Stocking goods inside Ukraine used to carry considerable risk. Now our fulfillment warehouse is located in Poland — a safe region of Europe: your goods are stored in our Polish warehouse, and as soon as an order comes in, we ship directly from Poland to Ukraine. Your stock stays out of the risk zone, and delivery stays just as fast.

For sensitive goods such as batteries, dangerous goods and solar panels, we have dedicated handling processes in place and can arrange separate onboarding.
