We want to inform our valued customers of a recent update in the customs clearance regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which may impact the way parcels are processed and delivered. As of now, there are new requirements that every customer should be aware of, particularly regarding air deliveries.

Key Update: Mandatory PNFL Number for Air Deliveries

The latest update from the Uzbekistan customs authorities stipulates that all parcels delivered by air, where official customs clearance is required, must include a PNFL number. The PNFL (Personal Identification Number of the Final Recipient) is a unique number assigned to every citizen to import goods via postal and express channels, such as e-commerce purchases.

What Does This Mean for Meest China Clients?

When registering parcels for air delivery to Uzbekistan, it is essential to ensure that the recipient’s PNFL number is accurately indicated. While customs will also verify passport data and Tax ID numbers, the PNFL number is mandatory and must be recorded in the parcel’s manifest. Failure to provide this information could result in delays or complications with your shipment.

To comply with these new regulations, our IT team is currently working on updating our system to accommodate the mandatory PNFL requirement. This includes adjustments in our Meest+ system to capture and report all necessary data correctly.

Note: Truck Deliveries Remain Unchanged

Please note that truck deliveries to Uzbekistan remain unaffected by these changes in the customs clearance regulations. The new PNFL number requirement applies specifically to air deliveries.
