What is the tax free limit to Kazakhstan?

According to the government regulation and legislation maximum monthly duty-free threshold per person is 1000 EUR and 31 KG per person.

In this case no VAT and Duties need to be payed.

What will be, if the tax free limit is over?

If maximum monthly duty-free threshold per person exceed 1000 EUR and 31 KG under DDU conditions, finale recipient of the parcel will subject to 12% of Duty from the total value of the parcel.

What documents does customs clearence requred to release parcels?

To make customs clearance and release parcels for further distribution process under goverment legislattion finale recipent of parcels need to provide his private legal documentation in Photos :

- Document certifying an identity - Passport.

- Identification code of the taxpayer.

What is forbideen to delivery to Kazakhstan?

● Money, including foreign currency, securities.

● Firearms and pneumatic weapons and their components; ammunition; steel arms; objects imitating firearms and cold weapons; other items specially designed for attack and defense (brass knuckles, stilettos, paralytic liquid canisters, gunpowder, etc.).

● Medicines (including hydrogen peroxide), ethyl alcohol, high-octane oxygen impurities (chemical compounds that are added to gasoline).

● Narcotic drugs - substances of synthetic or natural origin included in the List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors subject to control accordaning to goverment legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

● Items that emit an odor that poses a threat of pollution and damage to other Items and/or health of people and/or animals, such as: prepared foodstuffs for long-distance delivery, heavily contaminated spare parts, objects in grease or other caustic substances, oxidizing agents and organic 3 acids, bacteria and live viruses, toxic substances, radioactive materials.

Some items which are identified as “dangerous goods” may be sent via the international postal network under very strict conditions. Businesses shipping goods worldwide will have to obtain a prior consent, provide the proper documentation and ensure proper packaging. What kind of parcels are possible for delivery?

All parcels for physical persons as a B2C e-commerce are possible for delivery (excepting of forbidden goods). All parcels up to tax free limitation (look question What is the Duties free limit in Kazakhstan) clasiffied as for private usage can be delivered. All parcels that are identified for the recipient with personal data (Name, Address, Contact details, description of the goods, confirmation of the goods cost) can be delivered.

When the parcels cannot be delivered?

List of exceptions, applies for barcoded items:

●       if the barcode is unscannable or absent;

●       if the external package is damaged;

●       if the address label is unreadable;

●       if there are weight differences (item level weight check is made if receptacle has a weight difference);

●       if parcels contain forbidden or dangerous goods;

●       if labels are marked incorrectly

●       in case of mixed bags (not agreed with MEEST)


If the description of the goods DOES NOT correspond to the content of the parcel, if there is declaration issues from customs agents or shipment contain Prohibited items, the customs control has the right to immediately assign the status of ""To distruction"" without any litigation of reasons.

All exceptions will be communicated within 24 hours by shipments after occurrence. Pictures to proof the situation will be provided. Solution shall be found on consultation by both parties.

Where I can track my parcel and see the status of delivery?

What happened, if the parcel is not delivered?

All returns will be sent and processed in HUB of MEEST in Almaty.

By the default process, the Customer will be informed within 30 days and provided for TRACKED items with returns list.

Deadline for the Customer to make decision about the returns is 4 weeks from when MEEST informed the Customer, after this the goods will be automatically destroyed.

If the Customer does not agree with the default process of the returns, it should contact MEEST account manager for further information about other returns handling solutions.

Is it possible to make the retrun of parcels?

Undelivered parcels can be returned under the request of the Sender. Meest China reports and send the list of parcels for the Sender. The Sender is obliged to confirm which service it prefer: return or destroy of undelivered parcels. Parcels may be to the return address in the following events:
● upon expiration of retention period;
● upon Sender’s written request;
● due to the Addressee’s non-availability;
● upon Addressee’s written refusal;
● due to Addressee’s death;
● due to incorrect address.
